Kanye West rose to fame in the early 2000’s and has yet to give up his prominent role as both rapper and now singer. In 2004 after many years of producing, the first Kanye West album “the college dropout” was released. The college dropout Kanye West album was based on the fact that he is a real college dropout who pursued his dream of producing and rapping.
It was in 2002 that Kanye was involved in a car crash that was the inspiration for his first single on the Kanye West album the college dropout called “through the wire.” Another song “jesus walks” was a huge hit also on this Kanye West album. Both songs were featured on this Kanye West album that was an instant hit among the rap world. This album received critical acclaim including grammy awards.
The second Kanye West album that was introduced to the world in 2005 was called “late registration.” Late registration was a triumph for both kanye west and the people that collaborated with him. The songs “diamonds from sierra leone” and “gold digger” featuring Jamie Foxx went on to sell hundreds of thousands of copies the first week it was released. It also earned him another 8 grammy award nominations.
